Staff Pick: 2012 Domaine Servin Chablis “Les Clos” Grand Cru

In recent years, price for Burgundy is steadily increasing while quantities have not. Chablis however continues to be a place for value. Of the 7 – Grand Crus in Chablis, “Le Clos” is often described as the most complete Cru and arguably the most famous. This is always my favourite of the Grand Crus for its perfumed aromas and upfront enjoyment. The 2012 vintage is similar to that of 2010 as a classic, concentrated and long lived vintage. This wine will continue to improve over the next 10-14 years. It pairs beautifully with seafood and especially sweet spot prawns.
